Financial Overview
The Ottawa Choral Society operates on an average annual budget of $200,000 to $250,000, of which approximately 60% is earned revenue (box office, performance fees, membership fees, etc.) and the remainder, supporting revenue (grants, fundraising, donations, etc.). Typically two-thirds of the budget is devoted to artistic expenditures, including staff salaries, musicians, soloists, and other performing artists. The remainder covers concert production costs, publicity and promotion, and general administration.
